On Thursday 2nd June, Dr Jeremy Segrott, Hayley Reed and three members of the ALPHA (Advice Leading to Public Health Advancement) young people’s research advisory group ran a one-day training course on ‘Involving children and young people in the design and conduct of research’.
17 delegates attended the training which was hosted by Health and Care Research Wales. The course was very well received with 82% delegates rating the day overall as ‘Excellent’ and 18% ‘Good’. Delegates particularly stressed the value added through having young people from ALPHA co-facilitate the training. Due to the success of this training, DECIPHer will be adding the course to their successful short course programme.
The next Public Involvement short course will take place in Cardiff on the 29th September 2016. For more information and to book, please click the following link.
