Public Involvement Steering Group (PISG)

The Public Involvement Steering Group is an overarching strategic board that helps to develop and oversee the implementation of the PI strategy at DECIPHer.  

It is made up of professionals from across Wales working with or for children,
young people and families.  

The group meets quarterly to discuss public involvement work at DECIPHer and will also give feedback on any additional work in between meetings.  


Aim   

To advise on how to involve the public at a strategic and project level in DECIPHer.   


Duties and Responsibilities   

  • To develop DECIPHer’s Public Involvement Strategy and Implementation Plan.   
  • To monitor the Strategy and Implementation Plan and review and amend accordingly.   
  • To support the strategic development of the young person’s advisory group ALPHA . 
  • To support the creation and strategic development of an all-Wales Young People’s Involvement infrastructure via SHRN.   
  • To support the creation and strategic development of a parental involvement group which will complement and build on the successful model developed by the ALPHA group.
