Metrics reloaded: DECIPHer research widely cited in global policy documents

New Altmetric report finds DECIPHer research
influencing policy worldwide

Cardiff University Impact and Engagement team recently ran a report through Altmetric on mentions of Cardiff research in policy documents since 2008. Altmetric is a data science company that tracks where published research is mentioned online.

An impressive 370 mentions were found for Cardiff University in policy documents spanning the globe, 80 of these related to DECIPHer research. The organisations citing DECIPHer research were varied, with the World Health Organization featuring most prominently. The subject matter was similarly wide ranging, including vaping, mental health and complex interventions, to name a few. A breakdown of the countries, journals and subject matter can be seen in the infographics below.
