Course details
The aim of this course is to provide an introduction to different methods used for developing, evaluating, adapting and implementing complex interventions. This includes co-approaches for intervention development (e.g. co-production, co-creation) and adaptation of interventions, how to develop intervention ‘logic models’, and study designs for piloting and evaluating intervention effectiveness and processes.
The course is delivered by experts in the field of public health intervention science from DECIPHer and our collaborating institutions including University of Exeter, University of Sheffield and others, to be confirmed.

- Complex systems perspectives for intervention development and evaluation;
- Research methods and tools for intervention development;
- Use of logic models to inform intervention research;
- Methods and principles for collaborative intervention science (e.g. co-production, co-creation);
- Adaptation of complex interventions to new contexts;
- Methods and key considerations for evaluating intervention feasibility, effectiveness, processes and cost-effectiveness.

Researchers, PhD students, practitioners and policy makers. No prior knowledge is assumed.
