July 2017Dr Graham Moore attended a meeting in Geneva organised by the World Health Organization as part of the process of reviewing the use of evidence and evidence synthesis in the formation of WHO guidelines.


June 2017 – Dr Sara Long gave a presentation on SHRN at the 6th Conference of the International Society for Child Indicators in Montreal.

Sara also presented on SHRN at the ‘Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Study’ international meeting in Bergen.

Jordan Van Godwin and Dr Jemma Hawkins presented on the GMI-ALC study at the International Conference of Motivational Interviewing (ICMI) in Philadelphia.

In the the 6th European Network for Social and Emotional Competence Conference in StockholmDr Rhiannon Evans presented on WISE and schools and children and young people’s self-harm and suicide.

July 2017 – Dr Rhiannon Evans presented on schools and children and young people’s self-harm and suicide at the XXIX IASP World Congress of the International Association for Suicide Prevention, in Kuching, Malaysia.

Professor Sarah Rodgers presented on ‘Alcohol outlet density and hospital admissions for alcohol-related injury: an electronic record-linked cohort study’ at the IMGS Conference in Angers, France. This presentation disseminated the methods and results that had a geographical methodological focus from the CHALICE study.


July 2017Dr Jeremy Segrott (DECIPHer Research Fellow) took up the role of President of the European Society for Prevention Research (EUSPR). Dr Segrott’s election as President has provided important opportunities to promote the work of DECIPHer to an international audience.
